I came to the track as a spectator with my children when my husband was stationed outside of Alaska about six years ago. The visit to the pits was fun for my children, especially my youngest Tucker who hugged Mike Thomas # 5 Legends driver and the friendship began. We continued as spectators which eventually led me to "borrow" cars from many legends owners to drive in the JAGGS (Just All Guys and GalS) class. For one season I borrowed Mike Thomas' car and learned about Legends cars. In 2006 I was ready to make the commitment to own and driver a Legends car. I began the 2006 season in my own car driving with the JAGGS class trying to get some "seat time" before driving with the "big" guys and gals. I was given the honor to drive "Granny's" ministock car at the beginning of July which gave me the extra boost I needed to move into the Legends class. I learned and continue to learn each time I am on the track from the seasoned Legends drivers and I am thankful to have such great friends and mentors. This year our race team "Wanna Be Racin' " has developed speed with my husband Jesse taking on the role of full-time crew chief. In addition to crew chief he has become my personal promoter and secured many sponors. I am unable to compete without everyones support and am truely blessed.
Special Thanks: Mike Thomas and Willie Creech
